When interacting with the HTML canvas that presents the newspaper page, strictly in Chrome, the browser history just adds a duplicate entry for no obvious reason. This may or may not be a core ONI problem, but others are running slight variations of ONI just as we are, making it difficult to tell without more investigation.
Note that in most browsers, this bug cannot be reproduced at all. Not even in Edge, despite it being based on Chromium.
Pan and zoom around the page some. It doesn't seem to matter if you do so with the mouse or with the keyboard.
Look at the browser history (click-and-hold on the "back" button will show it)
One option to try and fix this could be grabbing a new version of OSD, though that's just a random guess, and would put us further out of sync with the core ONI repo.

Might be worth testing against Chromium and not just Chrome. If it's Chromium, Edge must be doing something special, which would be weird. If it's not present in Chromium... well, no idea.
