It would be nice if it was possible to define multiple ES nodes in the config, as a means of targeting a multi-node cluster to handle a single node failure.

Just to make sure I understand, you want an equivalent to hosts parameter on logstash?

Hi, it's more complicated then I thought, for now I can recommend you one of the two:

  • Configure one elastic node as client node so it will load balance your requests
  • Configure multiple log4stash appenders each will be responsible for some of the data and will send it to dedicated node.

I hope I would have good updates soon.
