Hi USWDS!

In principle, a Vue library supporting USWDS would help a lot of people. At the USGS several projects are re-implementing USWDS as Vue components. Vue is widely used, so I'm sure we're not alone.

Despite a desire to share, we are reluctant to contribute our work to this official repo because it states it is not maintained. We spied the personal repo that claims it is maintained, however we are reluctant to contribute to an unofficial resource.

Could you please shed light on any future plans for USWDS supporting a library of Vue components?

If funding is an issue, USDS could consider submitting a Technology Modernization Fund proposal to develop libraries for contemporary front-end frameworks like react, Vue, Angular. I know someone who drafted a $100+ million TMF grant that was awarded. I could see if they would be willing to review your proposal.

This would be super helpful. I have myself, along with a few other developers, created some Vue specific components to implement and enhance many of the components offered by USWDS. I feel that some of these are very useful in a great number of different products and it would save a lot of development time if we can all share these instead of re-inventing the wheel every time a new project is started.

It would also minimize bugs since we are all using the same source and probably otherwise run into many of the same errors/challenges/bugs.

A while back, @thepipster connected via Twitter:

Thanks, I've actually moved it to my personal github account for long term support and currently working on a big update

However, I agree it would be appropriate to have this in its official place within USWDS.
