Timeline changes to monthly increments when category changed

When selecting categories, it changed the timeline from daily groupings to monthly. It should remain consistent when changing categories. Example can be found on Crowdmap: https://belun.crowdmap.com/

Hey, @brianherbert this still an issue? Wasn't able to replicate on the above crowdmap(though looks like their timeline is off) or on local.. :(

Yep, the scale of the timeline changes when you select a category that has reports in a different time range. Also noticed that if there's only one report, the timeline disappears but that's possibly another issue.

@brianherbert can you explain a bit more how to reproduce this?
Just been working in this code and I might have fixed this with #964 but I'm not sure on the exact issue
