The Census XD Dataviz site at https://xdgov.github.io/data-design-standards/ has a lot of new content that strongly relates to USWDS and its mission. How can these sites and our related guidance best work together? Is there any work on this site that could be incorporated into the USWDS?

  • Reach out to the Census XD team
  • Look for new patterns that could be added to USWDS (cards, tags, feedback, etc.)
  • See if their site is one that could transition to USWDS 2.0
  • Look for potential uses of the v2 color system with this dataviz guidance
  • Discuss how best to connect this dataviz guidance to the core USWDS guidance
  • Build new issues based on this work
