swapoff’s man page makes it seem like swapoff has more options than it actually does #2958

swapoff’s man page lists all of the options for both the swapon and swapoff commands, but it doesn’t make it clear which ones work with which command. For example, I tried to run swapoff --ifexists, and it told me that there is no --ifexists option. The man page should make it clear that you can’t use --ifexists with swapoff.

I see:

SYNOPSIS
       swapon [options] [specialfile...]

       swapoff [-va] [specialfile...]

and I interpret it as that only --verbose and --all are relevant for swapoff.

I missed that little detail. Are there any other places in the man page that indicate which options are or are not relevant for swapoff?
