Hydra not giving accurate result in SMTP server

I am using Kali Linux and THC hydra to brute force SMTP server ( my own Gmail account )
I used rockyou.txt and write the correct password in it , but still when I run the commands
THC hydra gives me incorrect results .
My command
"hydra -l my email -P password list - s ns -S -v -V smtp.gmail.com smtp"
