Problem to Solve

Hello dear TypeDB team,

in my organization, there are a lot of relational, document-based databases. Migrating to modern DB such as TypeDB is not in short/mid-term possible. Compared to vendors like Stardog, it offers a way to connect to existing databases and still use the query endpoint via its own engine.

Does TypeDB plan to offer similar functionality?

Current Workaround

KG-based virtualization such as Cambridge Semantics.

Proposed Solution

Mapping logic / Virtualization logic with connection to existing data sources.

Thank you for the suggestion!

That's definitely a project on our roadmap. We won't be able to address it in the near term, unfortunately. But we will keep you updated with any progress.
