I downloaded P-VB 6.4.10 and VB 5.0.8 and i was able to set up a 64bit portable app but not the 32bit portable app. I tried this on a Windows 7 machine and on an XP machine.

On the Win7 Machine it just crashes and does not open
On the XP Machine it gave en error "failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found" i tried installing VB on a different XP Machine and copied the MSVCR100.dll file to the portable app but it continues to give me the same error. I then copied the MSVCR100.dll file to every single folder in the portable app and the root of the folder and the error message went away, but P-VB still crashes.

My main use is to take the thumbdrive to multiple machines 7/XP/Vista and use the same virtuals which was the reason for 32 bit option instead of the 64. But I was unable to create a 32bit app, it simply crashes, i tried this on 3 different Win7 machines.

I then tried 4 other versions of P-VB and their corresponding VB versions, still no use.

PLEASE HELP.

I used a computer with a 32bit processor and Windows 7 x86, i was able to create the Portable VirtualBox and i got a couple of errors but then i copied the MSVCR100.dll and the MSVCP100.dll files form the app32 folder to the root of the P-VB folder. The errors went away and finally VB loaded. I took the thumbdrive to a Windows 7 x64 bit computer and it gave me the same crash error.

Is it not possible to create the Portable VirtualBox to go from 32bit to 64bit machines and vice versa? If anyone has done this before please let me know what version of P-VB you used.

I am starting to believe that it has to do with the paths...
"Program Files" for 64bit apps on 64bit os
"Program FIles (x86)" for 32bit apps on 64bit os
"Program Files" for 32bit apps on 32bit os
Im not sure but i think this is the issue.

Sorry I did not realize to click both 32bit and 64bit when creating the P-VB. Figured it out.
