We need to fix the test cases and upgrade test subjects. Almost all tests are stale, and don't complete properly.

Currently, the test harness not very useful for performance assessment: vectordotdev/vector#1922 (comment)

All of the versions should be locked down, so the tests shouldn't be failing. I can take a look. I would like to, at the very least, see the TCP to TCP test working and compare performance.

That would be great, thanks! I also think the rest should just work, but I only tested vector. That said, I might've broken something in the VMs setup. I don't see how though. Looking forward to hear from you on this.
