As the page-load is quite heavy, it must be reduced. Look in to the JS-libraries, images and more in order to shrink the load to a bare minimum.

The page-load should be < 1mb normally and <600 kb on mobile devices - thats the aim atleast.

Thoughts:

  • gzip
  • php-rest related to the images and their sizing?

Still have a small path to go, however the site is now down from originally 3.7mb to 1.2mb. Huge improvement! Still got a few KBs to shave off those images, though.
