I am not able to set the required name of the CNAME record on my DNS provider that would allow me to use a subdomain for my Vercel production environment. This is what Vercel outputs on the Settings / Domain page after I add the "xyz.myapexdomain.tld" subdomain:
Set the following record on your DNS provider to continue:
Type: CNAME
Name: xyz
Value: cname.vercel-dns.com
Whenever I'm setting the CNAME to the above through my provider's cPanel Zone editor, the "Name" field automatically switches to "xyz.myapexdomain.tld." from the provided "xyz".
I already contacted my provider and they said that CNAME records automatically append the ".myapexdomain.tld." to end of the value that I provide. What can I do about it.. ?
