Vercel Caching: How to trigger a REVALIDATED read of something cached

Docs talk about the ability to cause Vercel to go and get a response from the origin, and update the cache with the new result.

Though the Doc page isn't specific enough for me to know how to do this...

Under the section of REVALIDATED, it says "The response was served from origin and the cache was refreshed due to an authorization from the user in the incoming request."

I tried including an "Authorization" header in a request, but I receive a BYPASS instead of a REVALIDATED. Which also does not update the cache. REVALIDATED should update the cache, which I need.

Does anyone know how to trigger a REVALIDATED response from the Vercel CDN?
