OS: Void Linux x86_64
Kernel: 5.3.16_1
CPU: Intel i3-8130U (4) @ 3.400GHz

Void Linux, zfs on root

creation, deletion of boot environments work as advertised.

just unable to roll back

i have activated the initial BE

beadm list
BE Active Mountpoint Space Created
initial R / 0.0K
test2 N / 7.9M 2019-12-15 20:29

always starts the "current" BE

Hmm. When I ran into this, I had to make specific changes to the grub.cfg file.
Might this be the case here?

Maybe. I have the following;

beadm list
BE Active Mountpoint Space Created
initial R / 0.0K
test2 N / 51.0M 2019-12-15 20:29

even though initial is selected, I am unable to roll back.

I did change the /etc/beadm.conf from 0 -> 1, not change. reverted back to 0

i'm beta testing this soon to be released version of Void Linux https://project-trident.org/download/, with the BE manager https://github.com/zdykstra/zfsbootmenu/
