Getting a Packagist Error on Composer Update

I've tried removing my entire vendor directory and then doing a reinstall, which does work. But as soon as I do a composer update command I get the following error:

https://repo.packagist.org could not be fully loaded (The "https://repo.packagist.org/p2/bower-asset/jquery.inputmask.json" file could not be downloaded (HTTP/2 502 )), package information was loaded from the local cache and may be out of date
