No updates - dead project?

Developers, et alia:

It interests me to find a mechanism by which I can backup the entirety of the voicemails on my iPhone as I am considering to change carriers. Documentation (video or printed) for this project seems thin and I see no updates in quite a while. Is the project still being updated and supported or it is orphaned at this juncture?

macOS and iOS continue to be updated so I am curious if this program is as well.

This project I view as serving a more desperate use-case than the one you're looking for (eg. if the phone is gone, and only a backup remains). To my knowledge, it should still "work" even with a modern iOS unencrypted backup.

I should double check this however, and release a new update without language referencing iTunes: The backup is performed in Finder now, not iTunes, and full disk access must be given in System Preferences.

Besides that, further development of this tool is blocked by #5, which would be needed to make the app significantly more useful. I am not actively working on reverse engineering the backup encryption format at this time.

But since you still have access to the phone, you may be better off just exporting the voicemails via the share menu.

Will leave this issue open until the new release is made. In other words: the project is not abandoned for the original use case (I intend it to still work on current Macs and unencrypted iOS backups), but I am also not actively working on the encryption issue or other new features at this time.

Let me start off by setting forth that I am huge fan of open source software and the idea of sharing one's work with the world lest it be useful to others. However, the foregoing notwithstanding, I am perfectly willing to spend a few bucks if I can get an easy solution and not pay too much as it's a one time use thing for me.

I am also interested (if possible) to preserve the time and date of the voicemails as well (I am okay if it is a list of filenames with the time and date they were written too, it could be that simple).

sw_vers reports that I am running macOS 12.6 (21G115) and thus I believe I must use the Finder to backup the iPhone SE 2020. I suppose my first step will be to conduct a full backup of my iPhone in this manner (something I have not done with this iPhone as far as I can recall).

I also looked at the share menu, and it does one voicemail at a time. Thus if one has several hundred to save, that doggy will not hunt.

Thanks for your response but I fear I will have to keep looking for a more powerful solution that can outright save a huge number at once or allow me to access them if I back them all up at once somehow (via the Finder?).
