Hi!,
I use
iedit
all the time. It's extremely useful! Some times I use it to quickly find location of code and navigate to each instance of a given piece of text; function name, variable name, etc... I would like to add the ability to exclude text that is located inside a comment or inside a string. Is this something that can be done with
iedit
as it is? Or would it require modification of theiedit
code?I assume it would be possible to add code in the navigation functions to check if the point is in comment or string and repeat. That would be one way but then I'd like to be able to see the count of occurrences shown reflect the number of occurrences found: if excluding comments, I'd like to see the occurrence count only count the occurrences that are out of comments.
