Player not responsive at times

I am getting a weird issue with videojs.On some videos when i click on the play button nothing happens i don't even get the spinner.However when i open the source src in a new tab , the videos play perfectly.

Moreover i noticed that if i do a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) then the video plays with videojs.I don't get any error on the console either.

Browser : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3578.98 Safari/537.36

VideoJS : 7.2.4

To replicate the issue:

1. Go to https://www.filterbypass.me/
2. Paste https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1GPWzT3H2M in the input box , click on surf
   3.Once the page load click on the play button

You will notice that nothing happens and the play button remain as is.If that doesn't happen choose another video.

The issue doesn't seems to happen for firefox.I also tried updating videojs to latest version but that didn't fix the issue.This is a recent problem , probably after a chrome update

Issue was related to https://github.com/kmoskwiak/videojs-resolution-switcher

Issue is still happening from time to time and i don't think its videojs-resolution-switcher.If i disable cache on chrome the issue disappears but i am using the fastly cdn link for videojs

I'm seeing a similar issue and I'm not using videojs-resolution-switcher.
