It was a good idea to do a Markdown based collection of stuff online,
and I'd like to try again, starting this time again from scratch.
This site was built with Hugo, which is fantastic for what it is,
but it's also complicated and it's changing fast enough to
do what it needs to do that I can't really feel like I'm keeping up.
Next try will be with Eleventy https://www.11ty.dev which looks
simpler. Only downside (?) is that it's in node.js instead of Hugo's
Go, which means that at some point I have to come to terms
with the Node.JS ecosystem (npm, yarn) and its failings
(left pad, colors).
The current site had a good run, but it's too cumbersome to edit
right now compared to what I've gotten used to through Obsidian.
So I'll also want to somehow drive the site from something
based on that tool.
I am happy with Netlify as a hosting tool, and with Github as
a source of data, so those should stay constant.
I've closed all of the open issues that were primarily content-related.
It's OK to close this one when the first page on the new system
(Obsidian + Markdown + Eleventy + Github + Netlify) is up.
