Stories Ready to Work On

The City of Kansas City, MO Health Department is engaging diverse communities across Kansas City through mobile outreach and the promotion of health-related resources.

The Problem/Description

Every year, many residents of Kansas City forego services provided by the City of Kansas City, MO Health Department (KCHD). Due to various social determinates of care, those residents are unable to receive health-related services (offered by KCHD), and are many times unaware such services exist. KCHD wishes to create a presence in underserved and underrepresented areas throughout Kansas City, MO via mobile outreach. By promoting better sexual health practices, testing, and KCHD sponosored events, KCHD intends to make Kansas City a healthier city for all.
