Painpoint:
It has happened few times recently that Daeploy manager on hosts have had problems (admittedly caused by Ivan). It seems that we notice these issues a bit haphazardly by checking on the host node. As the number of hosts increases, this is not scalable approach. Additionally if there are sensitive services, we would like to be notified as soon as there are issues with Manager (or other services).

Feature:

  • To be able to receive email notification if any of the hosts have critical problem and needs our attention.
  • If I have multiple hosts, to get a summary reports of all my hosts on regular basis containing information such as: Any critical issues regarding manager or other services, number of restarts of services, change of version, number of Errors/Exception logs from the services, or other similar information which allows me to judge if the host needs my attention.
