  • Read the docs.
  • Use Vite >=2.0. (1.x is no longer supported)
  • If the issue is related to 1.x -> 2.0 upgrade, read the Migration Guide first.

Describe the bug

The . env files can only be read in the root directory. I hope it can be configured to read in the config folder.For different environments, I will configure many different .env files. In this way, there will be a lot of files in the root directory, which is very messy.

System Info

  • vite version:1.0.0-rc.13
  • Operating System:windows7
  • Node version:v13.14.0
  • Package manager (npm/yarn/pnpm) and version: npm 6.14.4
