It's because Protonmail API has just stopped serving message.IsRead property which app reads setting the unread state of the message. The fix would be in reading the message.Unread property instead.

Solved with v2.0.0-beta.3 release.

message.IsRead existed for years, but Protonmail decided to drop it right after beta 2 got published, what a coincidence.
