Feature request: base path in CONCOURSE_EXTERNAL_URL

I'd like to use Concourse behind Apache acting as a reverse-proxy under a given path, not at the root of the web server: starting Concourse with concourse web --external-url=http://ci.example.org/concourse and Apache with:

ProxyPass /concourse http://localhost:8080
ProxyPassReverse /concourse http://localhost:8080

Currently, the path component of the URL in CONCOURSE_EXTERNAL_URL is ignored.
