[Feature] Allow ExportVMHostConfiguration to create partial/specific configurations #258

It would be handy if the ExportVMHostConfiguration script would allow

  • Creating a configuration file for (a) specific resource(s).

    • For example, all Folders, all Advanced Settings ...
  • Creating a configuration file for (a) specific branch(es).

    • For example, everything under a Datacenter, under a Folder ...

This could, for example, assist with migrations or setting up a test environment.

Excellent ideas, I will start working on the first one to extend the current script with an option to specify which VMHost DSC Resources to export into the Configuration.

ExportVMHostConfiguration script now provides support for specifying which VMHost DSC Resources to export via PR #261.
