avldrums is an lv2 plugin (popular plugin format for music production) featuring two midi instruments with drum samples. From what I can gather it is one of if not the best free and open source midi drum instrument available.

It is made by the same team behind the x42 plugins that are already in the repository, but are separate because of the size of the SoundFonts for the drums (approximately 42MB).

also check out DrumGizmo, it's way ahead of any other FLOSS acoustic drums plugin in terms of its capabilities
