Cannot reproduce on a new install; running gscan2pdf spews out a lot of warnings, but it still opens a window successfully without any mismatch errors.

I can reproduce this on one of my systems. I see the same errors as above and attempting to scan anything (for example) won't work at all. If you open the gscan2pdf preferences window there is a drop-down for the Frontend which for me shows two options: libimage-sane-perl and scanimage. I had libimage-sane-perl selected and that wasn't working. When I switched to scanimage I was able to scan documentes again. However about half of the scanning options I could see before are gone so clearly this is not the better option but may be a potential work-around for anyone depending on this until it's fixed.

EDIT: Fixed frontend names.
