Void 6.5.7_1 x86_64 GenuineIntel uptodate rrFFF

Package(s) Affected

syncthing 1.25.0

Does a report exist for this bug with the project's home (upstream) and/or another distro?

No.

Expected behaviour

Installing syncthing package should install syncthing service

Actual behaviour

Installing syncthing package does not install syncthing service

Steps to reproduce

Install syncthing
No service in /etc/sv

I think there is a line missing in https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/blob/master/srcpkgs/syncthing/template in the post_install() part where there should be a vsv syncthing

Or am I wrong here and should I install another package @Duncaen ?
Happy to make a PR, but not sure this is the issue.

Ok. of course it should be started as the user and not system-wide I just realized.
There is a desktop file or I can install a service as user per https://docs.voidlinux.org/config/services/user-services.html
I will close this. Sorry.
