Unfortunatelly, It doesn't look like It's able to release this under void: it has only sources but not release/tag in format of a single .tar file. It's done for security concerns. So this package isn't actually "released"

So you have to options: 1) write to current newm-atha dev in discord and ask him to make a github release or 2) request for original newm: it actually has release like void needs https://github.com/jbuchermn/newm/releases/tag/v0.3alpha

Afaik the wlroots version it depends on is below what Void has packaged..

0.2 version can be packaged - as @classabbyamp mentioned earlier, 0.3alfa wouldn't be accepted. Though one extra required py module should be merged before - it's python3-dasbus.
