It would be great to get support for multiple branches

branch: ['el6', 'el7'] would be able to make changes to both branches

currently you can only have une branch / repository. It would be great to be able to use multiple branches.

Maintaining files between multiple branches. E.g multiple major releases.

Ah, OK. I get it. Mainly when we do the Puppet 4 switch, keeping 3.x branches.

... or for branches in a control-repo that r10k manages as environments.

Can someone better describe the use case? I can imagine a few ways this might be meant, and a solid description of before/after states would be helpful in narrowing it down.
