Seems I cannot setup IPIP tunnel interfaces, this is often needed with IPVS.

As an alternative I was looking to set up alias interfaces, but seems I cannot?

@rnilssen Is this for Debian or Redhat systems? Could you provide an example manifest of what you would like to do but can't currently do?

Hi, I use debian - what I had a problem with was creating tunl-interfaces. Beyond tunl0 you need to define a tunnel with the ip tool or equivalent. But that may be outside the scope of this module? Actually doing pre/post setup to facilitate some interface class?

As far as aliases go, I found a decent workaround :)

Could you show me the configuration you would need in /etc/network/interfaces for tunl-interfaces? The module supports post-up commands which can run the ip command as needed, so this should be doable.

For my own curiosity, what did you wind up implementing for aliases?
