Latest composer package (https://getcomposer.org/composer.phar) as used - currently downloads 2.0.0 alpha.

This would be best switched to https://getcomposer.org/composer-stable.phar - so as to get the latest stable version.

It looks like you can set the channel, but I'm not sure that actually does anything. At the moment the only way to get something other than the latest is to use php::composer::source
