After a long time (and due to a long vacation ;-)) I finally get to devote myself to this project again.

Since this is a private open-source project with me as only maintainer and with which I do not earn my living or can earn at the moment, my activity with e.GO Mobile has the highest priority.

I am glad that so many want to help :-)

For this I have created a list of tasks in this issue section, which are still to be done until version 2. There is also a project page for this.

I have been thinking for a long time about the best way to refactor and have now found the following solution:

The first goal was to replace the current spagetti code I had written with jQuery support with a modern UI library.

From the beginning, I chose React, because I have had the best experience with it so far and the community is very large.

For the components I have chosen version 5 of MUI for React for the time being.

This doesn't match the VSCode design for now, but it is based on Material UI and also directly supports Dark Mode, which many had wished for and nicely implemented as a workaround: mkloubert/vscode-kanban#33

If you want to participate, you are still welcome to do so.

Check out the Contribution guidelines and use this issue section for questions, e.g.

Hi @mkloubert, I know its wrong place to put this, but I couldn't create new issues on your old mkloubert/vscode-kanban as its in read-only mode now. I updated vscode to 1.73.0 and the extension stop working, so i had to downgrade vscode to 1.72.2 and it worked again. Would you mind spending time to check the issues, thanks in advance. My system: ubuntu:22.04.1, vscode: 1.73.0, kanban:v1.33.1
