Today I encountered the same problem. Temporarily switched the plugin to version 1.8.27. It works on this version.

Try using vscode insiders

@davidmatter I'm not sure this is a duplicate issue. It's not the Vue server that crashes. It's the JS/TS language service

Downgrading to v1.8.27 fixes the issue.
