[TITLE]The Manual: Standing Orders[/TITLE]
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]How to Get Here[C:7:0:0]
[B]
Press [IKEY:D_ORDERS] from the main view.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Description[C:7:0:0]
[B]
Here you'll find a number of options that govern the behavior of your dwarves.
The descriptions of each follow.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Cancellation Announcements[C:7:0:0]
[B]
The game announces when jobs fail, unless you don't want to hear about it.
Some of these announcements are important, while others are just incidental.
The default setting is good for most purposes, but if you find it intrusive, change it here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Gather Animals[C:7:0:0]
[B]
If you'd like to temporarily stop your dwarves from considering animal haul jobs, do it here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Gather Food[C:7:0:0]
[B]
If you'd like to temporarily stop your dwarves from considering food haul jobs, do it here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Gather Furniture[C:7:0:0]
[B]
If you'd like to temporarily stop your dwarves from considering furniture haul jobs, do it here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Gather Bodies[C:7:0:0]
[B]
If you'd like to temporarily stop your dwarves from considering burial haul jobs, do it here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Refuse[C:7:0:0]
[B]
Here you can set refuse orders, with a few categories.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Forbid[C:7:0:0]
[B]
This lets you stop certain items from being used by dwarves (such as items dropped by dying opponents).
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Gather Minerals[C:7:0:0]
[B]
If you'd like to temporarily stop your dwarves from considering stone and ore haul jobs, do it here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Gather Wood[C:7:0:0]
[B]
If you'd like to temporarily stop your dwarves from considering wood haul jobs, do it here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Harvesting[C:7:0:0]
[B]
By default, all dwarves help with the harvest, even nobles. This is to prevent the loss of food. If you feel
you have the situation under control, you can set only your farmers to harvest.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Food Mixing[C:7:0:0]
[B]
By default, dwarves will put all meats in a "meat barrel" and all plants in a "plant barrel", for example. If
you'd like them to separate foods out more specifically, you can do that here.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Workshop Orders[C:7:0:0]
[B]
Here you can set some of your workshops to be automated.
[B][B]
[C:7:0:1]Activity Zone Orders[C:7:0:0]
[B]
Here you can restrict drinking and fishing to your activity zones.
