Continuing the discussion from IRC (irc.w3.org/#ccg):

160750 * wayne burn perhaps finding sponsorship for a note-taking role could be a good way to create internship opportunities
160807 * heathervescent +1 wayne
160827 * manu agree, +1 to sponsorship for note taking role.
160843 * wayne i'll make a GH issue in community to keep this idea going
160925 * burn notes that volunteering to scribe in a new group is one of THE best ways to get up to speed, while making the chairs happy :)

We can create involvement opportunities for people to help the community take high-quality notes while beginning to get embedded into the ecosystem. It would also lighten the load on the chairs. Even better if we can find some modest funds or denote community status to show our scribes gratitude. We can also use help with publishing notes, maintaining meeting infrastructure, etc. This would be great for people interested building technical chops and university students in relevant fields.
