Our current charter expires end of August this year.

I have prepared a draft new charter. Apart from changes to track the ever-evolving charter template this:

  • adds an explicit PNG 4th Edition deliverable. Adding it does not require us to produce one but it allows it, and is a good way to stabilize PNG Third Edition.
  • adds the new SMPTE liaison

Comments from PNG WG welcome.

I am asking for a three-month extension to the current charter (the maximum) to allow horizontal review and then AC review of the proposed new charter.

PNG WG now chartered to 30 Nov 2023 with AC review of a 2-year charter expected in September 2023.
