It doesn't appear that the Tree View code examples update aria-selected like the Authoring Practices requires. For example, https://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria-practices/examples/treeview/treeview-1/treeview-1a.html, appears to select a file by updating the text below the file viewer, but no aria-selected="true" is ever set.

I'd be in favor of adding both aria-selected and a visual style to the selected treeitem itself 👍
