Results:

  • Gecko: ✘ Highlights the whole sequence of adjacent kanji characters, with no word segmentation. Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0
  • Gecko: ✘ Firefox/76.0 Windows10 rv76 Same as on Mac.
  • Blink: ✓ Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/95.0.4638.69 Safari/537.36
  • Blink: ✓ Chrome/76.0.3809.100 Windows10 rv76 Same as on Mac.
  • Webkit: ✓ Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/15.1 Safari/605.1.15
  • Legacy Edge: Edge/18.17763 Windows10 rv76 Selects kanji individually.
