Are the CSS indexes automatically generated, or manual? The date on the ED is 9 November 2017 which is claimed to be the date of the /TR version which is 404.

I thought maybe there was a hard-coded Date: metadata but it seems not.

<pre class=metadata>
Title: CSS Indexes
Shortname: indexes
Level: 1
Group: CSSWG
Status: NOTE
Work Status: exploring
Editor: Tab Atkins-Bittner, w3cid 42199
ED: https://drafts.csswg.org/indexes/
TR: ---
Abstract: A listing of every term defined by CSS specs.
</pre>

Curious where this date comes from; the .html doesn't seem to have been checked into the indexes directory. But more importantly, wanting to know if the indexes are continuously updated or need to be refreshed manually once in a while.

The index is auto-generated at the same time as all the other drafts. In the absence of date metadata, the draft server sets a default date of the last time the file was modified (which for the index source file was currently 2017-11-09). While this is a reasonable default for normal drafts, I accept that it's not the best for the index file.

Pinging @tabatkins here, maybe we can add a 'now' value or some such as acceptable for the date metadata, then bikeshed can just use the current date?

Done, and I modified Indexes to use the value.
