We're looking to add the pageBreakSource property after 3.3 goes to REC to solve the long-running problem of page source identification (it will replace source-of), but in the interim it's not possible to start incubating its use as it gets flagged as an error. It would help if the property could be made valid as part of the meta properties vocabulary whenever there's another update.
