Validating using EPUB version 2.0.1 rules.
ERROR(OPF-052): .../index.opf(90,19): Role value "edc" is not valid.

for
<dc:creator
opf:role="edc"
xml:lang="de">Udo Pisch</dc:creator>

But "edc" is in the list:
https://www.loc.gov/marc/relators/relacode.html
(Editor of compilation)

This message is available at least in epubcheck 3, 4, 5.

It's valid but it wasn't added until 2013: https://www.loc.gov/marc/relators/tn130531rel.html

It doesn't look like the list in epubcheck has been updated for as far back as the github history goes (2012).

Good catch. I'll be able to fix this in the upcoming maintenance release.
