In his presentation, Patrick asked a couple of specific questions:

• Do developers want multiple colour selection? See Do we expect multiselect to work? WICG/eyedropper-api#9
• Should the API return screen coordinates?

The question of colour gamut support came up in the TAG review.

It'd be really good if the eyedropper could be constrained to picking from a particular DOM element.
This would useful where that element contains a subset of colors that are legal. We have a specific case where we want to let the user pick a color from a video frame to act as a key for that frame - it doesn't make sense to allow them to select a color from outside the video element.

Thank you for the feedback @jamespearce2006! This use case makes sense to me, but I wonder what the UI should look like (eyedropper cursor when hovering the element, otherwise normal cursor?)

@captainbrosset I imagined something like a disallowed cursor when hovering outside the element - similar to how drag/drop works when the drop target is not valid.
