I expected to be able to give a quick and positive review of this specification.

However, having done a review of this proposed specification I have severe issues with the approach taken. Before reporting them here, I have asked the Color on the Web CG to check my findings, because I might be wrong. If so i will retract this issue.

Meanwhile, please do not publish this specification.

Thank you for this @svgeesus - as Chair I have rescinded the decision to publish, pending resolution of this issue.

@nigelmegitt It sounds like @svgeesus and others have requested an extension to file concrete tickets. What is the new deadline? It is only fair to other potential commenters and to users.

Actually I was responding to the request not to publish, not a request for an extension to file new tickets. We cannot set a new deadline for a revised version until we have resolved the issue.

@nigelmegitt I was referring specifically to Before reporting them here. It is unreasonable to have an unbounded amount of time to do so.

@palemieux On the other hand it is also clear that we should not publish what we have now. I'm sure @svgeesus will seek timely feedback, or if he does not receive it then raise his issues here regardless. I would hope that "timely" here is around 1 week - @svgeesus does that seem feasible?

Indeed!
