On Behalf of Thomson Reuters

To enhance understanding of this Success Criterion, we need:

  • More examples of hidden controls that are covered by this proposed SC. We request that these examples include screenshots.
  • Examples of controls that are not covered (such as controls that are part of a web browser or operating system software, not web content itself).

Ideally, the Understanding document would include at least one example for the main requirement AND for each exception.

Just on the second point, we wouldn't call out user-agents or operating systems as our scope is 'web content'. We'd have to add that to many understanding documents!

Suggested updates:

  • Add an explanation of the exceptions, like Target Size (min) includes.
  • See if there are any suitable screenshots that can be added to the examples.

@alastc I believe I've seen visual examples of passing and failing examples. None seem to have been incorporated into the Understanding document. Is there someone who possesses those examples?

For anyone tackling this, the aim is to provide an example or two, ideally visually of what would be in scope and pass the SC.

The Hidden controls working document links to an Examples doc.

Two examples have been added of failure cases (and text content on how those would pass). Further PRs are welcome to add more visual examples.
