Raised in vF2F today.

WoT Thing Description 1.1 has a list of link relation types which can be used in links.

What is the manifest link relation type for?

This link relation type is usually used for HTML documents to refer to web app manifests.

The relation type table in https://w3c.github.io/wot-thing-description/#link recommends some values.

Most of them are coming from IANA.
The ones that are WoT only do not fully align with what exists already (from IANA perspective)

  • extends --> extend / extended / extended-by ? (no other verbs?)
  • proxy-to (seems ok)
  • controlledBy --> controlled-by (not consistent in IANA either: there is describedby, blocked-by, ..)

I don't have a strong opinion but it might be good to align as good as possible at least "our" additions..
Note: IANA is not consistent either :-(
