No idea what's going on. ;)

It works elsewhere but not in this port and environment.

Did compile against 'nano' lib which may be unusual.

These are early Arduino ports - surprisingly, hasn't been done (or if it has is unknown here).

Recent effort to do fundamental ASM programming for RP2040 opened the door
to a kind of 'wrapper' that allows 'foreign code based' object files to function
fairly correctly in a C++ Arduino framework environment - enough to call programs
written in assembler.

Trying for C programming language equivalent here (have read nothing, Jon Snow).
