@hughperkins created a fork of Nic's code in https://github.com/hughperkins/passwordbookmarklet with similar improvements as this one. Hey, Hugh, would you like to join forces? :)

(btw, it's unclear how openpw is related to the above)

I use openpw regularly. It works for me. It is very stable. I've only had to modify it once in a year, to handle generated password that arent complex enough. Hence, it has a 'version' dropdown, defaults to v2, but can select v1 if wanted (I've never had to select v1...)

By the way, things that I remember changing for openpw:

  • generated password is longer
  • there is a webpage, a commandline tool, and I seem to remember a Chrome plugin, though I never actually use the Chrome plugin. Mostly I use the webpage
  • added in a 'confirm' input box, for the password, optional, for use when creating a new password
