Wallaby.js not present in IntelliJ Plugins Marketplace #2157
Comments
At the time when we first developed the plugin, we didn't have the level of flexibility we needed to automatically update based on the version of Wallaby supported by your license. I'll keep this open and mark as a feature request. |
@smcenlly Do you have any plans to publish it on the marketplace? |
@mdreizin - we don't have any immediate plans to address this issue but as it is still open, we will consider it in next quarter's roadmap planning session. This last quarter we have had a big focus on new product features as well as some other bigger improvements that we are yet to announce. Unfortunately we still don't have a solution to only update the plugin based on the version of Wallaby that is supported by your license, which is a bit of a blocker for us (moving to the marketplace we would be making the user experience worse than it is today). What we will probably try to do in the future is see if we can provide a light-weight "shim" plugin on the marketplace that downloads/installs the existing plugin so that we aren't making the user experience worse. |
@smcenlly Thank you very much for details. Looking forward to seeing that improvement. |
The Wallaby plugin for IntelliJ Editors (WebStorm, PhpStorm, RubyMine, IntelliJ IDEA or PyCharm, etc.) is now available in the JetBrains Marketplace. Previously, the plugin version was tied to the version of Wallaby that was supported by your license. The JetBrains Marketplace version may be used for all purchases made after May 27, 2018. |
Issue description or question
Hey, I was wondering why is Wallaby.js missing in IntelliJ Plugins marketplace (given that Quokka is there).
Downloading and installing from the official website is not a big obstacle, but it is an obstacle. Mostly when trying to convince other teammates to give it a try! :)
