In some timelines, some events may be more important than others. For example, in a timeline showing events in a distributed test, I'd like to highlight the event that triggered the shutdown of the test, and highlight places where obviously incorrect behavior happened.

One way to highlight these would be to customize either the color of bullets (larger, smaller, red background, green background). Another would be to customize the text, using larger text or different colors to distinguish importance.

If there's workarounds or hacks that would allow customization, I'd love suggestions.

v1.4.0 now comes with support for custom styles for text elements. Here's a storybook example: https://walterra.github.io/d3-milestones/?path=/story/d3-milestones--styles
